Priceless

Today was amazing. I slept in for the first time in a very long time, and at first I woke up at 8:30 and could not for the life of my figure out what day it was, finally once I realized it was Friday I went back to sleep and didn't get up until 10. I probably would have slept longer except I needed to go to the bathroom and feed grandmother. anyway, I got up and had a nice convo with the First Lady in her parlor then had a rockin time with the Lord. so, dad came home later and we sat around watching Sponge Bob laughing at the randomness. after many random things we decided to go to the lake for the day with the Williams. we fed the first lady and set off to compass lake. on the drive down dad put in a tape of his of Graham Cook speaking. It was first of all an awesome message, but also dad was stopping the tape all along and we talked about whatever had just been said. As we were driving I couldn't help but just soak up the moment of riding with my dad and talking about stuff that really mattered. Kingdom stuff. it was very much a priceless moment that nothing could replace.
I guess it was even better because for the first time in probably months I left my cell phone at the house (on accident). I was not bothered by anyone around me and just had fun all day long.
J.D. pulled out some of his diving equipment and showed me how to work the stuff. it was so weird to breathe underwater. I had never done that before and I had such a hard time breathing in and out normally. I kept wanting to gasp for air even though it was right there for me.
we swam, went diving, went kayaking, and ate more food than we could hold. at one point he told me "Look! I can float with my butt up in the air! I think I probably look like a duck that is fishing" I laughed and rolled my eyes. good times.
These moments should never be looked over, and should always be soaked up. I am doing that now.

third times a charm.

Hello people!!
I feel so compelled to write random things these days, but I freeze up...like a pop-sickle...when I start to write on here. hmm.
The family is all gone here but dad and g'ma. it's been a party.
My days have been filled with laughter and tears...and well, mostly laughter. I am learning so much this summer, and I guess I will only be learning more with time. a few important things I have learned thus far:
-J.D doesn't know how to work a GPS. I will even go as far to say that boys in general are bad with directions.
-Boys don't know how to do anything with crafts. Period.
-the amount of peanuts consumed in a week by the interns is probably enough to pave the Target parking lot.
-I need my sisters very bad. I am should be thankful for them more often.
-I am a very selfish person.
-I am learning how to be humble and keep my mouth shut. (that is hard)
-It is good to be 'squeezed' by the Lord, even though it is uncomfortable and makes tears come out, "The end will justify the pain it took to get me there" (Relient K)

All in all I have so enjoyed working with 3 pretty crazy guys. every day is an adventure. some are not as a fun as others though. (like when we drove around for 30 minutes trying to find a house that the guys had the wrong directions for and wouldn't listen to my correct directions).
anyway.
Al Jones- you should know that every day I spend my time doing for others... go ahead... say it... "What a saint!" I know you're thinking it. because I am. :0)
Sisters- someone come to me and hold me! I don't have a mommy!
Moss- get your rear here and let me kick it in some video games.

where has all the rum gone?

I spend hours working non-stop yet when I look back, it seems as though nothing has happened. Maybe this what what adults mean when they say they wish for more hours in a day.

Spinning out in circles.

So here is the low down.
-Butt spinning in not for me. period (sorry I don't have pictures or something fancy like that)
- This summer is going to be amazing. (I am getting paid to do what I love, hang out with my friends and learn a lot)
- I will be leaving sometime in august, in the 20's I think.
-I am almost tired of people being here. but not really.
-I owned Ssom in bust-a-move. (even though I was soooo tired)
-I am learning to be more transparent. and that is hard.

hopefully I will have some pictures or something to go along with this stuff. but we'll see.

Deserts Rain

Deserts Rain

Lord I'm hungry for You
Come touch my dry bones.
Breathe Life, Breathe Life

My heart cries for more of You
in the desert land I yearn.
Breathe Life, Breathe Life

Water of Life
fill this empty river bed
I'm in the waiting for You
More of You.

Jesus, giver of Life
Lamb of God, perfect sacrifice
I worship You.

My heart is a desert
waiting for Your rain
come and reign in me.

Title:

so, I am sitting here with a blank screen staring me in the face and I don't know what to write. That is what brings me to the world of blogging today.
I was asked to write a bio on myself about where I am with the Lord and where he is calling me to next and such. I don't know where to start. I am writing this for my job this summer which is interning with the youth group. I met with Sean, J.D, Ben, and David today about what we are going to do, and I got very excited about the vision for what is going down.

I have realized with the opening of summer that I haven't really had much time to sit and think about random things like I enjoy doing. School took up like 97.23 percent of my brain and the other bit left was used for things like talking, remembering how to drive and such. But, now that I am out and able to use my brain for more important things, here are some things I've been thinking about:

1. who in the world invented one-ply toilet paper?! I realize that some inventions must start somewhere, but once bigger and better things come along- like two-ply toilet paper-it seems like someone would discontinue the first-and not so great- invention.
2. As for the comments left on my last blog writing, I appreciate those comments, I agree with a lot of what people wrote. good thinking!
3. sometimes letting go feels like smashing your face in muddy water.
4. Family is crazy.....but in a a good way.
5. there isn't really a five, I can't think of what else I've been thinking of.

Anyway! that's about it....sorry there is no more depth to this, it hasn't really been a deep week.

so there.
